To some a prophet, to others a demon – and to history a riddle that binds power and mystique inseparably.

Above The Convenience Store
In the modern world, Rasputin lived in a dim apartment above a twenty-four-hour convenience store in Berlin, where nobody was entirely sure if he was a mystic, a doctor, or just extremely unemployed. During the day, he gave tattoos in a back room lit by candles and strange Russian music, speaking so little that customers became nervous halfway through their appointments. Somehow, every tattoo ended up looking incredible anyway.

Bottles For The Crises
In the mornings, Rasputin sat on his mat among Berlin’s yoga circles beneath the Fernsehturm, distributing homemade herbal remedies in old glass bottles to exhausted instructors having “crises.”

Strangely Healthier, Slightly More Insane
He claimed his drinks could cure stress, heartbreak, and weak political leadership, and tested each new batch on the caged rats in his back-room laboratory. Doctors called him dangerous, but his customers kept coming back looking strangely healthier and slightly more insane.

Mysterious Surprises
One winter night, police were called after reports that Rasputin had been stabbed outside a Späti during an argument over cryptocurrency. Two days later, he calmly returned to work with a bandage on his chest and a coffee in his hand.
